For such a compact package, it's powerful and also versatile. It has two constant modes: full beam, with a range of several tens of metres, and a half-power setting. The flash mode is at full power, approximately 100 flashes/minute. All three modes can be used with either the clear or red flip-over diffuser.<br/><br/>I have only a couple of small gripes. Firstly, battery life is not great. I use rechargeables and recharge them fully before a long ride, as I've had it cut out on me before. Bought this an an additional light for use whilst night cycling.

Overall, I’m very impressed. For such a compact package, it’s powerful and also versatile. It has two constant modes: full beam, with a range of several tens of metres, and a half-power setting. The flash mode is at full power, approximately 100 flashes/minute. All three modes can be used with either the clear or red flip-over diffuser.

I have only a couple of small gripes. Firstly, battery life is not great. I use rechargeables and recharge them fully before a long ride, as I’ve had it cut out on me before. Also, when helmet mounted, it has to be pointed down, which makes access to the power button on the underside of the body quite tricky.

The light is very bright & the 2 filters just add to its useability.
The fact is also uses normal batteries rather than lithiums makes it cheap to run as well.
The band is grippy enough to not slip off a PPE hard hat but is also comfortable & light to wear directly on your head.
If you need a light for survey work or airsoft, buy it!

Bought this unit for outdoor activities, due to the claimed beam length, and was extremely impressed when used during the recent snow falls.
The light was comfortable even after a few hours of use whilst biking and also sledging down some hills with my kids, the light was able to illuminate them even at a distance of 70+ meters with no problems. Also the unit took some fairly heavy knocks and bangs but still kept on shining, the low light feature was useful when close up to people and the adjustments for the direction of the beam very easy.
In order to get a more wide spread light the flick down diffuser proved extremely useful showering around 10 meters in front of me with a bright but not blinding light source.
Overall extremely impressed with the unit and have since purchased a second unit for my son to wear whilst biking with me as it gives a good forward vision for obstacles ahead due to the length of beam available from easily selected high beam option.
Would recommend this Varta 1 watt 80 lumen sports head light to others seeking a comfortable and useful outdoor head torch.

I’ve hooked my PS3, SKY HD and DVD up to this and it works perfectly with no loss of picture quality. It’s hidden away with only the IR sensor on display.

I was torn between this product and another offering by Neet Neet 3 Port Mini HDMI AUTO SWITCH 3×1 (3 way input 1 output) but opted for this one because of the remote. I’ve hidden it away and have seen on other reviews that SKY HD does not always automatically switch back. I didn’t want to have to keep fishing it out to manually change it if there was a problem. This is an ideal compromise and is just a few quid more. That said so far it has worked perfectly and I haven’t needed the remote.

If you need to plug more HDMI equipment in than your TV has inputs for this is the perfect solution for you. It’s at a great price (many manual switch boxes I looked at cost this much) and the service from Neet is excellent. Recommended

I Purchased this radio on the 3/02/12 arrived on 8/02/12 was amazed how small it was. I bought for where i work which is quite a noisy factory but was knocked out when i turned it on it was very loud and clear this suits my purpose for which i bought it for its a very robust looking radio but does more plays mp3 perfectly also can attache a sd card and as am fm radio. I whould recommend this radio as most wont play more than 1.2 Rms this is 13watts and is very clear nice bass boost to add more richer sound

Does the job but nothing soecial.<br/>CD player, which I didnt intend to use anyway is OK.<br/><br/>The MP3 player (SD Card or USB) requires you to use the remote if you want to search for tracks or different folders ***But*** the only indication you get of which folder you select is a folder number e.g. F03 on the display, similarly the tracks are shown as a track number only. To select an album you therefore have to select the folder by scrolling through them (use the remote only) which is very messy if you have nested folders.<br/>This means that if you add an album to your SD Card you have to re-learn all the folder numbers. Basically this means just have a few folders and dont change them.<br/>There is a limit of 999 tracks anyway (as a software developer that suggests sloppy programming to me anyway)<br/><br/>The USB / SD Card slots are covered by a flap, however when a USB stick is used this cannot be closed, thats ok though as USB Sticks are generally 'Session Only' however SD Cards are generally longer term and unlike normal SD Card slots the card sticks half out again stopping the cover being replaced. As the cover is fragile it would be much better without a cover at all and with a standard PC style USB and full depth SD Card slot.<br/><br/>The controls are extremely non-intuitive, your average MP3 player or 'phone is much easy to use.<br/>There is no audio in jack that I can find (there is a headphone jack) so you cant plug your MP3 player into it.<br/><br/>To summarise - this product is OK as a radio or CD player but an absolute pain as an MP3 player.<br/>With a bigger screen (mobile phone size), completely reprogrammed to be more intuitive and to display album/track names it would get a 4 star rating. This product is advertised as a battery or mains radio/cd/usb/mp3 player and yes it does all 3:-

Absolutely excellent, my 78rpm records (original Elvis!) not played since 1950s soundede better than on the old ‘Dansette’ and the rcording onto CDs is perfect. so glad I went for the TEAC and not other models.

I have had a USB turntable and have had nothing but problems with it and it's softwear. the turntable has gone and this hi-fi has sucessfully replaced my usb turntable. so this unit is a gem so compact and well designed it most certainly a 5 gold star item all the way. even the instruction booklet is so easy to understand and is well illustrated no fancy jargon of words that people can't understand. this unit even comes with a remote control. TEAC have thought about everything for there product. this to me is well worth the money and does what it is set out to do a excellent unit. This unit is fantastic! very easy to use and understand. just put a blank cd-r or cd-rw into the cd recorder and transfer your vinyl or cassette tapes to cd. a very remarkable hi-fi. it even has a radio and tape deck. and the unit has built in speakers. there’s no softwear to download no leads except you do get a RCA type lead if, you have any AUX units that can be connected up to this unit. I have had a USB turntable and have had nothing but problems with it and it’s softwear. the turntable has gone and this hi-fi has sucessfully replaced my usb turntable. so this unit is a gem so compact and well designed it most certainly a 5 gold star item all the way. even the instruction booklet is so easy to understand and is well illustrated no fancy jargon of words that people can’t understand. this unit even comes with a remote control. TEAC have thought about everything for there product. this to me is well worth the money and does what it is set out to do a excellent unit. I am very happy with my purchase.
